The meal concludes with the Birkat, and the second recitation of the Sheva B’rachot. It is customary to honor friends and family by having them read the B’rachot aloud. Jeffrey Prottas, Jennifer’s brother, will be leading the Birkat Hamazon. The Sheva B’rachot will be chanted by the following:

At this time, wine from the two earlier cups are mixed in to a third cup, the Kiddush cup that was given to Jennifer and Eric by Sue and Bob Prottas, as their first Kiddush cup together. Bride, Groom and the leader of the Birkat now drink from the third cup.

We would like to thank our parents for all the hard work they have done to bring us to this day. A special thank you goes to, Ellen, for her creativity and hard work in creating our Chuppah and Mazel Tov bag, and to Sue, without whose many hours of arranging, meeting and schlepping none of us would be enjoying this wonderful evening.
Thank you so much, to everyone who hiked up here to join us for our wedding. Please stay in touch, we think of you all as family so visit us anytime at our new apartment, but please don’t ALL come at once, we don’t have enough chairs!
